International Exchanges - Guidelines
Owing to Germany's particular historical obligation to the people of Israel, both Israel and North Rhine-Westphalia deem the exchange and interaction of young people from these two countries extremely important.
Here, for your information, you will find a list of some of the most important questions and answers:
How is the programme funded?
Every year the state of North Rhine-Westphalia puts aside € 2m.
What projects are being funded?
Projects include, most notably:
- Youth exchanges
- Professional exchanges
- Certain individual projects
- Visits to memorials
Is there an upper limit to the funding available?
Up to 70 per cent of costs incurred will be covered.
Which organisations are eligible?
Independent youth welfare service organisations
Are there possible exceptions to the above rules?
Final decisions regarding exceptions to the rules are taken by the North Rhine-Westphalia Youth Ministry
